THE FAVOR OF GOD

David, of the Bible, declared these God inspired words in Ps 5:12, “For thou, LORD , wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” KJV
Let’s look at what is said here:
First, this wonderful promise is addressed to those who are RIGHTEOUS. To be RIGHTEOUSNESS means those who , “intend to be and do right.” (International Standard Bible Ency.)
Second, he said God would BLESS the RIGHTEOUS.
To BLESS means: “to bestow good upon.” (ISB) What specifically here does God promise to bestow: FAVOR. Favor means: Help; goodwill; support; approval; partiality; preference; esteem; promotion; benefit; increase; encourage. All these words refer to the FAVOR God promises to the RIGHTEOUS.
Third, COMPASS. Compass means to: Encircle, to surround (for attack or protection); to crown. ((ISB) God promises to Protect and Crown the Righteous person by giving him His FAVOR.
Fourth, The promise to ENCOMPASS AS WITH A SHIELD is a picture of a soldier, who when being attacked in battle is protected behind a large shield, which is a defense against the enemy.
So, what the Prophet David is proclaiming by God’s inspiration is: “God’s blessing for the Righteous person is His utmost FAVOR in his life. That FAVOR will encircle him, crown him, giving him God’s FAVOR but also protecting him from all attacks of the enemy!!!
This week, I want YOU, who are RIGHTEOUS through believing in Christ and living daily in a righteous way, to confess this scripture everyday:
Ps 5:12, “For thou, LORD , wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”

FROM STRESS TO REST IN FINANCES

What an anointing I experienced this morning.  Even though I experienced discomfort in my throat from laryngitis, the Lord assisted me with such a great anointing.  I don't know when I have enjoyed preaching/teaching such a wonderful contemporary series of sermons, "From Stress to Rest."  I am sure that I have not exhausted this subject, but I am just as assured that we have all been helped from this teaching on Finances.
Our generation has never experienced such financial stress, but as David Ramsey, the financial guru has said, "I refuse to participate in this recession."  If we will do the three practical points I shared:
1.  Resolve to become DEBT FREE.
2.  Set up a "Rainy Day" savings of at least $1,000.00.
3.  Accept the "4 Month Tithing Challenge.
The Lord will join with us bringing His Supernatural Power into our Finances.  See the experience of Jacob who made his VOW to become a Tither, and the supernatural results that made him an exceeding rich man (Gen. 28:20-22; 30:43).
Why will the Lord bless His Children with WEALTH?  Simple, so that out of the overflow of His abundance He will bless you with, you will be able to bless His Church and worldwide Kingdom.  God wants to bless you so that you will become a Financial blessing to His Work in this last day!

WEALTH ! ! !

The Bible has a lot to say about WEALTH, the accumulation of money.  Some good and some bad.  We all know the scripture ...
1 Tim 6:10-11
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil:…
Many falsely interpret this to mean that money is evil.  That’s not what the verse says.  Read the rest of it…
10b ...which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. KJV
The true meaning is now seen, wealth is a tool that godly men can use for the glory of God.
Hear what Jesus said…
Matt 6:20
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: KJV
Make your wealth available to God! Consider such Biblical personages as David, Solomon, Barnabas, and the unnamed boy who gave his entire lunch to feed 5,000.
The world's standards teach that the majority of men live on less than $2 a day.  YOU according to that measure are extremely wealthy!
Are you making your WEALTH available to God for the expansion of His Kingdom?
